How does a spectrum analyzer work?

A signal that looks very complex in the time domain behaves quite differently in the frequency domain. Time domain measurements show an impure sine wave. Without frequency domain measurements, it is still impossible to know the source and frequency of the second harmonic. Spectral analysis can show the spectral components individually, thus revealing the source of the interference. While the information provided by the time domain (such as the rise and fall times of signal pulses) is important, the frequency domain allows you to determine the harmonic content of the signal, such as out-of-band emissions and distortion. 716

In this article, we will describe the basic measurements of an impedance analyzer. Overview An impedance tester is an instrument used to measure AC resistance or impedance. This article will introduce the basic knowledge about impedance, the measurement method of impedance, and how to use the impedance tester. What is impedance? What is impedance? In short, it is "a quantity that indicates the difficulty of the flow of alternating current". ...

A multimeter is an instrument that can measure a wide range of parameters, such as alternating (AC) or direct current (DC) voltage, AC or DC current, resistance, temperature, capacitance, and so on. Modern digital multimeters use digital and logic technology to become smaller and smaller with more and more built-in functions. By introducing digital technology, digital multimeters can provide graphical displays, data logging and signal digitization as well as...

  • What is an impedance tester?

    545

The article will cover the basics of impedance and points of measurement. Impedance is the resistance of an AC circuit and is invisible. Therefore, it must be measured using a specialized measuring instrument such as an impedance tester. People who have never touched an impedance tester before may be more concerned about how to use it and what to look for when using it. Therefore, this article will present in an easy-to-understand way the...
