High voltage single ended probes are typically used to measure signals below 40 kV ground referenced. However, some single-ended probes are designed for use in instruments with isolated or floating inputs for non-ground-referenced measurements. The user should select a probe with a low input capacitance specification (< 4 pF) to minimize the effect of probe loading on the circuit, as probes with lower input capacitance provide higher input impedance at higher frequencies.
Tektronix High Voltage Probe Solutions offers:
- Bandwidth up to 800 MHz
- Probe loading effects with an input capacitance of only 1.8 pF
- Products that meet third-party safety approvals (UL, CSA, ETL)
- Comprehensive range of probe accessories
