The TOS5200 is based on the PWM switching mode amplifier method, which is not affected by variations in the AC power supply and realizes highly stable output.
In the former slide transformer method, the output was affected by the variation of input voltage, and sometimes the test could not be completed correctly. When a distorted voltage is applied to the test object, it may cause product failure (accelerated deterioration of components). The TOS5200 is not affected by AC line variations and can output a stable high voltage, which enables highly reliable and safe testing with peace of mind and stability, even in areas with high voltage variations. The output frequency can also be selected from 50Hz / 60Hz.

Test time can be set from 0.1 second to shorten working time
The TOS5200 allows you to set the test time from 0.1 seconds without compromising measurement accuracy.
Compared with the TOS5050A (Min. test time 0.5s), the test time is 5 times faster, realizing a reduction in working time. The reduction in working time directly improves productivity, and many customers are requesting changes/modifications to the Min setting of the test time. However, test times that are faster than the measured response speed can have an extreme impact on measurement accuracy, which is a very important issue in withstand voltage testing.

Rise time/fall time control function
The rise time control function is a function to prevent unnecessary high voltage from being applied to the EUT. In order to confirm the safety of the EUT, a withstand voltage test is conducted, but the test voltage for the withstand voltage test is 5 to 10 times the required voltage of the EUT. If a high voltage is applied rapidly without controlling the rise time, a large transitional voltage is generated, which may cause damage to the EUT. Therefore, various safety standards specify the method of withstand voltage test, which requires that the voltage be increased slowly to reach the specified test voltage. the rise time control function of the TOS5200 can be set from 0.1s to 10.0s (0.1s resolution), and the initial start voltage can be set to be 50% (fixed) of the test voltage.
