brief
High resolution display of 6 input channels
Simultaneous measurements of up to 6 input channels can be performed at a speed of 2 MS/s (16 bits). The WT1800E has a high-resolution 8.4-inch XGA display that allows up to six waveforms to be viewed in a split screen and displays up to 12 pages of different measurement parameters, which makes the WT1800E an ideal tool for efficiency testing in inverter-driven motors, in renewable energy technologies, and in traction applications (pumps, fans, and hybrids/electric vehicles, etc.). The WT1800E can also display measurement results using vector format or trend graphs.
Ensures accuracy over a wide range
The WT1800E can accurately measure voltage, current and frequency over a wide range. The basic power accuracy of the WT1800E can reach 1% ~ 110% of the selected voltage and current ranges, which corresponds to voltages from 15mV to 1100V rms, currents from 0.1mA to 5.5Arms (5A input unit), and currents from 10mA to 55A rms (50A input unit). Because the effects of low power factor errors are minimized (±0.07% apparent power), the WT1800E ensures measurement accuracy even under large phase shift and high frequency conditions.
Measurement range setting
Eliminating unnecessary range changes allows for faster signal tracking. With the WT1800E's range setting function, users can select the input range according to their specific use case, making it easier to reach the optimal range setting more quickly. This reduces time spent repeating production tests, such as the following settings that are often performed on production lines: set to OFF → 100V → OFF, etc.
harmonic analysis (physics)
Even with a data update period of only 50ms, the WT1800E can analyze up to 500 harmonics at a fundamental frequency of 50/60Hz. In addition to the power parameters, the WT1800E offers two options for harmonic analysis.
- Harmonic measurement mode (/G5 option) for analyzing fundamental, harmonic components and total harmonic distortion (THD)
- Double Harmonic Analysis (/G6 option) is used to measure harmonics from two different sources, e.g. input and output of frequency converters, variable speed motors, lighting ballasts, UPS, etc.

Power Integration and Auto-Ranging
The WT1800E can measure energy trading in the power grid or battery charging and discharging. With the power integration function, the WT1800E can perform integration operations on positive and negative instantaneous values. The WT1800E can also measure total energy (Wh) and current (Ah) when load conditions vary widely, such as when a device transitions from standby to operating mode. When an input signal begins to fall out of the expected range, this function automatically adjusts the range and continues to perform the integration of the measured value.
High-speed data acquisition
With the high-speed data acquisition function, the SigmaUrms, Sigma-Irms, and Sigma-P of DC signals and three-phase devices can be calculated every 5ms (external synchronization is set to OFF) or 1ms ~ 100ms (external synchronization is set to ON), depending on the frequency of the clock signal.
Flexible & Automatic Data Updates
The measurement period can be set manually or automatically. Nine data update cycles can be set between 50ms and 20s, and the data update rate can be changed automatically in response to fluctuations in the input frequency. This function is particularly useful when measuring equipment such as motors where the input signal frequency depends on the RPM.
DC power supply for AC/DC current sensors (/PD option)
The WT1800E is equipped with a DC power supply for the AC/DC current sensor CT series. The WT1800E can measure large currents by using a dedicated connection cable and shunt. By connecting the sensor in this way, the signal-to-noise ratio and immunity to interference can be improved.
* To use a shunt, the WT1800E must be fitted with the /EX option.

Motor Evaluation Function
The WT1800E not only measures electrical parameters, but with the optional motor evaluation function, it can also measure speed/direction, torque, mechanical power, synchro-speed, slip, electrical angle, motor efficiency, and total system efficiency using the analog and pulse outputs of the torque speed sensor.
WTViewerEfree application
Measurements can be easily viewed, controlled and downloaded using a PC.WTViewerEfree is free software that connects the WT1800E to a PC via a communication interface, allowing easy access to values, waveforms, trends and harmonic data on the PC.

User-defined events and operations
The event trigger function allows the user to set limits on the amount of power, current, or other parameters that can enter or fall out of a specified range. If the data meets the trigger conditions, it can be stored, printed or saved to a USB or other storage device. Up to 20 formulas can be defined and used for customized calculations.
