Main characteristics

  • Infrared thermometers are able to measure not only close up, but also at a distance, without having to use a ladder at all.
  • The contact temperature measurement function is compatible with all standard small connector type K thermocouples, so you don't need to purchase separate thermocouples for them at all, thus protecting your investment.
  • Velcro® pipe probes can be used for superheat and subcooling measurements as well as other contact and non-contact temperature measurements.
  • Single Point Laser Sighting Measurement
  • Temperature measurement ranges from -40 °C to 550 °C (-40 °F to 1022 °F) are available for most industrial and residential applications.
  • The emission energy can be easily adjusted (high, medium, low) for more precise measurement of pipes and other materials with very smooth surfaces.
  • Lightweight (only 12 ounces/340 grams) for easy portability
  • Easy to use
  • Highly efficient - there is no need to turn off the unit when performing infrared measurements.
  • MIN, MAX, DIF functions help you quickly identify problems
  • Fault scanning is done quickly and efficiently for both small and large objects.

Product Overview: Fluke 561 Infrared and Contact Thermometer

Infrared thermometer with type K thermocouple function

The Fluke 561 Infrared and Contact Pyrometer combines the temperature measurement capabilities technicians in industrial, power, and HVAC industries need, with both infrared and contact temperature measurement, making it a one-piece solution that can be used in multiple applications. It is fast, efficient and easy to use, saving you valuable time and effort. At the same time, you also have the flexibility to choose between contact and infrared temperature measurement. The infrared thermometer measures heat, motion, electricity, and inaccessible objects in moments, and can be used to check motors, insulation, circuit breakers, radiant heat, piping, corroded joints, wiring faults, and to scan HVAC ductwork and other inaccessible objects without using a ladder. When measuring ducts, you can either use the convenient Velcro® duct probe or utilize the standard Type K mini-connector thermocouple probe you have on hand to measure overheating or internal temperatures.
