Wide voltage and current input range
The IT8900A/E series has a wide range of voltage and current inputs, covering a wide range of existing models to meet a variety of needs for high current and low voltage or high voltage and low current.

Eight operating modes
The IT8900A series has eight operating modes, including CC, CV, CR, CP, CV+CC, CV+CR, CR+CC, and CP+CC, which can be adapted to the testing needs of various occasions. Among them, CP mode is commonly used to test the battery test of UPS, simulating the change of current when the battery voltage is degraded. It can also be used to simulate the characteristics of the input of DC-DC converters and inverters.CR mode is commonly used in the slow power-on test of communication power supply, LED driver test, and automotive thermostat with loaded circuit test.CV+CC mode can be applied to the load simulation of the battery, test charging pile or car charger occasions, the CV work at the same time, limiting the maximum current of the pull load.CR+CC mode is commonly used in the car charger to limit voltage and current characteristics. CR+CC mode is commonly used in vehicle charger voltage limiting and current limiting characteristics test, constant voltage accuracy and constant current accuracy test to prevent overcurrent protection of vehicle charger.

Dynamic and List Functions
Both dynamic and list modes of IT8900A/E series electronic loads can be performed in CC mode. By editing the step pulse width and slope of each step, a variety of complex sequences can be generated, allowing the user to complete various tests with carrier waveforms. And in CC mode, the IT8900A/E series can set the rising and falling edge speed.


Battery discharge function
IT8900A / E series electronic loads have a battery discharge function, which can be used in constant-current, constant-resistance or constant-power mode for discharge testing. You can set your own discharge cut-off conditions: shutdown voltage, shutdown capacity and discharge time, and the discharge will stop when any one of the three conditions is met. Battery voltage, time and discharged capacity can be observed during the test.


Master-slave parallel connection, flexible power configuration
IT8900A/E series has the functions of master-slave parallel connection and active equalization. It supports the parallelization of cabinets with different power and same voltage, and after parallelization, it can realize all the functions of a single machine, including the work in CV mode, and can be parallelized up to 600 kW. a single cabinet can also work independently, and the power configuration is more flexible. This parallel machine adopts analog and digital wiring separately, the performance of the parallel machine is more stable.

Built-in rich communication interfaces
IT8900A/E series electronic loads come standard with communication interfaces such as LAN, USB, RS232, CAN, GPIB, analog interface, etc. and support SCPI protocol. It is suitable for users to carry out power expansion, computer or PLC remote control, system construction and so on.

Measurement
The IT8900A/E series provides voltage and current rise and fall time measurements with an accuracy of 10us, comparable to high-precision oscilloscopes. They can be used to measure the power-on, power-off, and hold-up times of power supply modules, as well as the fuse blowing time. The measurement time is determined by sending commands through the software of the host computer.

Dynamic mode up to 30 kHz
The IT8900A series of electronic loads (150V model) features a dynamic mode* of up to 30 kHz, and an upgraded integrated internal structure that dramatically improves the loop response and stability of the series. They can be used to test the transient response of switching power supplies, as well as the instantaneous high-current tolerance of DC-DC converters and batteries.
*Dynamic response of the IT8900E is 10 kHz.

External analog control function
IT8900A/E series electronic loads have analog control interface, which can be used for industrial control or parallel expansion of load power use. When used for industrial control, the 0~10V output from PLC is used to control the load's CC /CV from 0~100% full scale, compared with the real-time control from the host computer, the response time is faster, up to 10us, the single-step time is <10ms, and the accuracy can be up to 1%. at the same time, it also has the advantage of the number of steps is not limited. The following figure shows the 0-4.2V sine wave input analog interface, controlling the IT8900A 0-100A dynamic pull-load, the waveform amplitude below 10kHz, phase reduction is high. It can be used for battery testing of all kinds of complex waveforms, and can also be used for impedance analysis testing of fuel cells. Used for parallel expansion of load power, analog interface can be used for parallel differential analog control interface, than the traditional independent LAN port parallel communication, data is more stable and reliable.
Various protection functions
The IT8900A/E series provides a variety of voltage and current protection functions, including soft-start for power-on, soft-unload for power-off, current oscillation protection, over-voltage, over-current, over-power, over-temperature, current-limit, power-limit protection, fan blocking protection, etc., which prevents personnel from accidental operation, harsh working environments, and damage to loads or objects to be measured due to oscillations resulting from mismatch of current loops, and protects personnel. safety.
Soft power on, soft power off function
The IT8900A/E has soft on and soft off functions, which can prevent the load from being carried too fast and instantly pulling down the power supply voltage, or instantly shutting down the load caused by the power supply voltage surge, i.e., the on slope can be set, and the off slope is turned on.
