- TH8610 series four-terminal wire tester is a new generation of wire tester designed by Changzhou Tonghui on the basis of TH8601 series, combined with years of experience and customer testing needs.
Compared to the TH8601 series, the TH8610 extends the range of on-state testing (down to 1μΩ) and adds a one-touch NTC setting function.
TH8610 is a multi-functional, automated wire testing system for new energy battery connector solder joint inspection, quality and connection reliability inspection of various cables, wire harnesses and wires.

Functional Features

- 1A constant-current, external four-wire measurement ensures welding resistance measurement accuracy
Welding points, riveting points, fasteners and other contact resistance, usually small, in the mΩ or even μΩ level, the conventional constant voltage method or small current constant current method of testing, usually can not achieve the desired measurement accuracy.
Tonghui has developed the contact resistance measurement technology for μΩ level under the accumulation of years of DC low resistance testing technology.
The reason for guaranteeing measurement accuracy at the μΩ level is the use of the following techniques:
a) Tests using the constant current method and increasing the constant current source current to 1A.
b) A four-wire measurement technique, also known as the four-terminal measurement method, is used to effectively remove test errors caused by line voltage drops.
(c) the instrument supports short-circuit zeroing technology, correctly zeroed test accuracy of up to 1μΩ
The principle of the four-terminal measurement technique is as follows:

The excitation source is a high-precision constant current source up to 1A, the current flows into the measured part from HCUR and then flows out from LCUR, the current can be calculated by measuring the voltage at both ends of the range resistor, and at the same time, the voltage of the measured part is sampled through the two ends of HPOT and LPOT, and the value of the resistance can be calculated according to Ohm's law, R=U/I.
The four-terminal measurement method tests the actual current of the loop and the actual voltage at the ends of the measured part, so the line voltage drop of the leads can be ignored, and the test accuracy is higher.
- Supports thermistor (NTC) measurements
Thermistor (NTC) measurements are a challenge, often requiring both resistance and temperature testing to determine the upper and lower resistance ranges at specific temperatures.
The TH8610 series adopts the DC voltage test method by applying a constant voltage of 4V to both ends of the NTC resistor, then sampling the voltage and current, and finally calculating the resistance value by the formula: R = U/I.
Meanwhile, according to the temperature T0 measured by the temperature sensor, the corresponding upper and lower limits (Ru and RI) of NTC in T0 environment can be obtained in the R-T table provided by the customer, and the machine can automatically judge whether it is qualified or not.
The instrument supports NTC one-touch setting.
- 4. Patented technology: high and low voltage separation, wider and more accurate insulation resistance test range
Wire testing, the need to test the short end of the circuit, conduction, components, voltage, insulation and other parameters, a variety of different parameters of different measurement techniques, DC low voltage, DC high-voltage, AC low-frequency high-voltage, AC high-frequency low-voltage and other signals, so complex signals in an instrument will interfere with each other, affecting the stability and accuracy of the test.
Tonghui's unique patented technology of high and low voltage separation isolates high and low voltage, high and low frequency signals from each other, effectively solving mutual interference, and the instrument's own insulation impedance > 100GΩ, thus making the insulation resistance range of the test reach 5GΩ.
