The Chroma 61600 series programmable AC power supply is a basic and economical AC/DC power supply series, which can be easily programmed to output accurate and pure AC/DC waveforms.
Functionally, Chroma 61600 series products can output less than 0.3% AC harmonic distortion at full load (50/60Hz, linear loads); the built-in power factor improvement circuit (PFC) enables it to have higher efficiency and output more power, and the input power factor can be up to 0.98 or more at full load; in addition to Chroma 61600 series products Chroma 61600 series products use advanced digital signal processing (DSP) technology to provide accurate and fast measurement of power parameters, such as voltage root-mean-square value (Vrms), current root-mean-square value (Irms), real power (Ture Power), frequency (Hz), power factor (PF), and current peaks (CF) and so on.
Through the high-order pulse width modulation (PWM) technology, the Chroma 61600 series AC power supply has 4 to 6 times the peak current withstand capability; Chroma 61600 series also provides an external input analog signal port, through which the signal can be received from the arbitrary waveform generator to amplify the signal, which can be simulated to replicate the unique waveforms observed in the field. The Chroma 61600 series also provides an analog signal port for external input.
For power, the Chroma 61600 series can be connected in parallel with the same series to realize higher output power levels, up to 90kVA for high power test solutions. The Chroma 61600 series is equipped with self-diagnostic tests and complete protection functions such as over power (OP), over current (OC), over voltage (OV), and over temperature (OT) protection to ensure its quality and reliability.
Multi-function Measurement
Chroma 61600 series programmable AC power supplies have built-in 16bit analog/digital converter measurement lines, with fast computing firmware, which can provide a variety of parameters, including real RMS voltage, RMS current, real power, power factor, VA (apparent power), peak current, crest factor, etc.; and through advanced DSP technology, the Chroma 61600 series can measure the output total harmonic distortion (THD) and multi-order current harmonic components, and can directly display the output voltage and current waveforms through the screen with the Waveform Viewer function. Voltage and frequency variation setting
The Chroma 61600 series of programmable AC power supplies allow users to set the rate of change of output voltage or frequency, and when the output voltage or frequency changes, it will gradually reach the final value according to the set rate of change. This helps users to verify the operating range of the product, for example, the frequency can be set to gradually increase from 47Hz to 63Hz, or the voltage can be gradually increased from 90V to 264V, instead of only verifying the input of 90V, 115V, 230V and 264V several voltage points. In addition, when the object to be tested is turned on, the voltage is gradually increased from 0V to reduce the inrush current of the input, which can be applied to the startup of the motor or the simultaneous power-on test of several products.

Single-phase/three-phase voltage output mode
Chroma 61607/61608/61609 and 61611/61612 models provide single-phase or three-phase output function, which allows users to select single-phase or three-phase output modes via front panel or remote control. Even when set in single-phase output mode, they can still provide full-power output capability without worrying about decreasing output power specifications.

Model 61601/61602/61603/61604/61605 can be used with three single units, which can be connected in series to produce three-phase power output under the synchronization mechanism of three-phase mode.

MASTER/SLAVE parallel output mode

Chroma 61600 series programmable AC power supplies can be connected in parallel via (Master/Slave) output mode to fulfill the user's demand for high power. Among them, 61601/61602/61603/61604/61605 models do not provide parallel function; 61607/61608/61609 models with the same power series models (i.e., 61507/61508/61509/61607/61608/61609) to match with each other and can be paralleled to a maximum of 2 units; in order to meet the needs of greater power, 61509 and 61609 can be paralleled to meet the needs of greater power. In order to meet the demand for greater power, 61509 and 61609 and other 6kVA models can be further up to 3 to 5 single (Master/Slave) parallel connection, and the two models can be mixed and matched to achieve 18kVA, 24kVA, 30kVA and other high-power output function. (3kVA, 4.5kVA models do not support more than three parallel function) |
The 61611/61612 models can be combined with the same series models (i.e. 61511/61512/61611/61612) and the 18kVA parallel specialized unit (A615103), and the maximum number of units can be connected in parallel is 5 units. For example: Connect two 61611 12kVA AC units in parallel mode to achieve 24KVA output power; connect one 61612 18kVA AC unit and two A615103 18kVA paralleling special units in parallel mode to achieve 54KVA output power.

Chroma 61600 series Softpanel is a set of computer graphical interface designed for controlling AC power supply, its multi-functional graphical panel and easy operation provide users with a multi-functional and easy to operate AC power supply environment. (Note: Chroma 61600 Softpanel does not support List, Pulse, Step, Harmonics Meas., Synthesize, Interharmonics and other advanced functions.)
This interface provides Auto Run mode, which has 100 sets of voltage/frequency changes for multi-turn testing (time in seconds), and Loop and Count settings can be adjusted to allow users to perform repetitive long-duration testing.

In addition, Report Generator is provided to automatically record user-selected parameters, sampling rate and recording time.
