Programmable AC Power Supply Model 6500 Series

The 6500 series programmable AC power supply provides power electronics engineers with the ability to simulate various AC power states, power waveform distortions, and to measure and analyze power characteristics. This product provides a correct and effective test solution to simulate a variety of normal or abnormal power supply phenomena, and at the same time to measure and analyze, for an integrated power supply test and analysis equipment, fully adapted to R & D characterization, production testing, quality assurance inspection or automation system integration applications.

This series of products provide voltage 0-300V and frequency 15-2000Hz programmable setting capability, a wide range of applications, in addition to support the general commercial (47-63Hz), can also be used in aviation and space, and its low-frequency output characteristics can also be used for low-frequency start-up of motors or air-conditioning compressor testing. The output is very pure sinusoidal waveform, and the distortion rate can be maintained below 0.5%.

In order to meet the needs of engineers in simulating abnormal power supply, this series of products has built-in direct digital frequency synthesis (DDS) waveform generator, which provides flexible waveform simulation functions. For example, some distortion waveforms can be set to test the object to be tested, such as the distortion rate of a clamped sine wave from 0% to 43% or the amplitude from 0% to 100%. Engineers can instantly set the desired power supply waveforms directly through the panel buttons and use the large LCD flat panel display to preview the waveforms or monitor the current waveforms after output, which can simulate sinusoidal, square, and truncated sine waveforms, as well as power supply transient breaks, surges, noises, phase angles, voltage and frequency ramp characteristics, and so on. In addition, a 30-group harmonic waveform library is built into this series to provide engineers with the ability to test power electronic products in harmonic power environments.

This series of products are equipped with high-precision voltage, current, peak current, power, frequency, peak factor, power factor, inrush current, apparent power (VA), virtual power (VAR), and other measurement functions, so that engineers can easily complete any arduous test operations without relying on other test equipment when designing, testing, and analyzing. It can also be paired with a power analyzer to test IEC 61000-3-2 harmonic current limit and IEC 61000-3-3 flicker.
