Communication interfaces are standard
Tandem regulator method with excellent noise reduction characteristics
High stability and low pulsation noise
The PMX-A series is a capacitor input type power supply with series connection method, and the pulsation noise at the output is much smaller compared to the switching method power supply.
Improvements in ease of use
Timing creation software SD025-PMX (Wavy for PMX)
Software used to help automate the testing and execution of power supplies. Waveforms can also be edited using mouse strokes & table calculations.
"SD025-PMX (Wavy for PMX)" is a software that supports the creation and execution of timings for Kikusui power supplies and loads, and SD025-PWX was developed so that even people with no programming knowledge can easily and casually draw timings and control patterns on a computer by intuition. It can monitor and record voltage and current, and control the power supply as if it were a remote control.
[Working environment and conditions]
- Only one power supply or electronic load can be controlled when using Wavy
- CPU: Core2 or above
- CD-ROM: required for installation
- Mouse: required
- Monitor: 1024 × 768 or more
- Storage: 2GB or more
- Interface: LAN, USB, RS232C
USB communication interface
Automatic identification by the Plug & Play system frees the user from the complex setup operations previously associated with digital control, and can be said to be suitable for 1:1 control. The maximum number of connected devices is 127 as standard. In addition, the PMX series realizes a maximum communication speed of 12Mbps (full speed) in accordance with the USB2.0 standard.
LAN communication interface
Control via the LAN communication interface is characterized by the fact that several devices can be controlled quickly, with a theoretical maximum number of approximately 4.2 billion. (The maximum communication speed varies depending on the number of connected devices.) In addition, one of its features is that it can be used for a wide variety of applications because it is standardized to allow mixing of the controlling party (controller) and the party to be controlled. Moreover, in computer systems using Apple Bonjour, it is possible to use host names instead of IP addresses for access.
Equipped with the AUTO MDIX function: The PMX-A Series automatically recognizes whether the connected LAN cable is a straight-through cable or a crossover cable, so that it can be connected in an appropriate way.
RS232C communication interface
It can be used to communicate with personal computers, programmable devices, and so on.
Easy access with embedded WEB server
Power control and monitoring can be performed by accessing the web server embedded in the PMX series using a WEB browser on a personal computer, smart phone, or tablet PC.

analog interface
The PMX-A series is equipped with interfaces necessary for monitoring and controlling analog external signals of test power supply units, such as external voltage and resistance control. Input of external models and output of status signals can be performed using the rear panel J1 connector.
Output Voltage, Output Current Control
[Controlled with external voltage (Vext)]
The PMX-A power supply can be controlled by an external voltage, and the output voltage and current can be controlled by the applied voltage.
[Controlled with external voltage (Vext)]
The PMX-A power supply can be controlled by an external variable resistor, and the output voltage and current can be controlled by adjusting the resistor value.
ON/OFF control of outputs
[Controlled by external contact (S)]
ON/OFF of the PMX-A series power supply output can be controlled from an external contact.
