With the 5790B's new user interface, you can enter current shunt parameters and save them to internal memory. Up to 150 shunt parameters can be stored, including shunt serial number, calibration constants (24 AC/DC deviations, five load effect error points), and calibration date. Once the shunt information is loaded, the 5790B is ready for direct absolute or relative mode current measurements within seconds by connecting the shunt and selecting the appropriate shunt from the main menu. When using a shunt, the 5790B displays not only voltage measurements on the screen, but also current measurements accompanied by shunt information. It is also possible to load earlier Fluke A40 and A40A precision shunts as well as custom shunts and use them for relative current measurements.

Extended wideband range (50 MHz)

The "/3" wideband inputs and functions, ranging from 2.2 mV to 7 V and 10 Hz to 30 MHz, are the same as those of the Model 5790A. The new "/5" wideband option further extends the bandwidth from 10 Hz to 50 MHz, expanding the product's application for calibrating the precision 50 MHz power reference output found on most RF power meters.

Improvement of technical indicators

The intuitive graphical user interface displays the 5790B's specifications for measurements of common non-sinusoidal waveforms, as well as the results of peak-to-peak calculations of the waveforms (assuming THD < 1 %), making it easy to have this information available instantly when you need it. Unlike the 5790A's vacuum fluorescent display, the 5790B's new 6.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display makes it easy to see more information on the screen, reducing the need to switch between menus. The 5790B now explicitly gives DC voltage measurement uncertainty as low as ± 24 ppm (1 year, 23 ± 5 °C), providing a high degree of confidence when making transfer measurements. A dedicated special-purpose 50 MHz, 225 mV, 50 Ω input function is available as an option for the 5790B, with "single point calibration" at the end of the level-precision/phase-stabilized metering cable, calculating the measured power based on a 50 Ω load, which can be used to measure the reference output of the RF power meter. For relative current measurements.

Statistics and Waveform Peak-to-Peak Calculation Functions

Based on the readings displayed, the 5790B can calculate statistics showing the number of samples taken, standard deviation, average, minimum and maximum values. Thanks to its large touch screen display, the main measurement value can continue to be displayed on the screen while the statistics are being viewed. The 5790B now also has a waveform peak-to-peak calculation function. One of four waveforms can be selected: sine, square, triangle and trapezoid. Some of these waveforms are difficult and time-consuming to calculate, but the 5790B does all the calculations for you based on the measured values, saving time and minimizing errors.

Easy-to-use graphical interface and ergonomic features

The 5790B's graphical user interface features easy-to-read, easy-to-use soft key menus that provide access to frequently used functions with the tap of a finger. Hard keys on the front panel allow quick selection of ranges and inputs. There is also a bright red hazardous voltage status indicator on the front panel that instantly lets you know if hazardous voltages are present on the terminals. As with the new 5730A Multi-Product Calibrator, the front panel features Visual Connection Management ™, which indicates which terminal is currently in use and guides you to the correct connection.

Precision you can trust

The 5790B is based on the Fluke Solid State True RMS Converter, which has been used in a variety of Fluke products since 1979, such as the 792A AC/DC Transfer Standard. The converter is a true thermoelectric converter, not an electronic converter that calculates RMS values. Because its output voltage of 2 V is much higher than the 7 mV to 10 mV of conventional thermocouple converters, the higher output voltage allows for more accurate measurements. And, because of its compact size, the RMS sensor can be stabilized quickly and over a wide temperature range. The 5790B also features a hermetically sealed thin-film resistor network to minimize AC measurement errors. The true RMS converter and thin-film resistor network are designed by Fluke for ruggedness and reliability, and each component is built to exacting standards by the Fluke Microelectronics Group to ensure high quality and consistency of all components.

Ensuring versatility for efficient work

A variety of inputs and connection types make it easy to select the most appropriate one for your application. 5790B has three sets of input terminals, two N-type connectors and a set of banana head terminals. The upper left N-type connector is Input 1, and the five-ended banana head terminal is Input 2, which are dedicated to AC measurement and transfer modes. AC or DC voltages can be applied to either connection, and the voltage range covers the entire range of the 5790B, facilitating automatic AC/DC transfer measurements and automatically recognizing whether AC or DC voltage is being applied.

Main characteristics

Multi-purpose AC measurement and conversion standards: the accuracy of a thermal conversion standard, and the ease of use of a digital multimeter.

Its absolute AC voltage measurement uncertainty is as low as ± 24 ppm (one year calibration, 23 °C ± 5 °C).

AC voltage range: 600 μV to 1000 V, frequency range: 10 Hz to 1 MHz, optionally expandable to 30 or 50 MHz.

In combination with the A40B current shunt, direct, absolute or relative current measurements can be made without calculations.

6.5-inch full-color capacitive touchscreen display.

All necessary switching and calculations are carried out automatically compared to an external DC power supply, which can be used alone or as a conversion standard.

[3528
3977

0":"post-14190","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_brand-fluke","7":"product_cat-standards","9":"first","10":"instock","11":"shipping-taxable","12":"purchasable","13":"product-type-simple
["GET
