Building multi-emitter RF signaling environments made easy
In recent years, with the research to meet the integration of radar and communications, Tektronix in the current arbitrary waveform generator installed a specific waveform creation plug-in, enabling engineers to create a specific RF environment for many specific applications.
Supported applications include simulation of real-world wireless scenarios/environments monitored by EW, radar receivers with jamming signals, and phased array antennas and MIMO.
Environment Plug-in for Arbitrary Waveform Generator
Features of the new environment plugin include:
- Ability to create multiple scenes and assign them to different AWG channels in a single compilation. The user can create up to 50 scenes.
- Scenes consist of individual RF emitter signals, with up to 100 user-defined emitters per scene.

Test for critical reliability.
High-speed data rate transmission in automotive, industrial, and high-energy physics is driving the development of low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS). For these applications, LVDS testing requires robust signal generation to test stresses from R&D through production. Using Tektronix AWG5200 and AWG7000 series arbitrary waveform generators with code generators and pulse inserts, you can generate known good signals, including the number of channels and data rates needed to fully test LVDS protocols and receiver margins.
