The Ultra-Low Voltage DC Electronic Load 63202A-20 is available in two models, the 63202A-20-1000 and 63202A-20-2000, and is suitable for the design, test, and verification of voltage conversion modules, point-of-load converters, and embedded DC-DC converters. These voltage conversion modules are critical for providing the proper power supply to central processing units (CPUs) and graphics processing units (GPUs).

The new generation of low voltage high current DC load 63202A-20 introduces a low inductance terminal design, which can reduce the inductance and impedance inside the machine and improve the response speed. The 63202A-20 is especially suitable for low-voltage power supply products under 1.0V. In addition, the output copper row has added a multi-hole locking attachment point to further enhance the ease of use.

The 63202A-20 has excellent low voltage characteristics and can pull load its current rating at low voltages of 0.25V. This makes it ideal for testing DC-DC converters and other products that require low voltage and high current.

These electronic loads offer a variety of basic operating modes, including constant voltage, constant current, constant resistance and constant power modes. In addition, they support User Defined Waveform (UDW) and external signal control functions to simulate realistic current waveforms to meet complex test requirements.

The 63202A-20 can be easily operated through the front panel display and knob, and can be remotely controlled through USB, Ethernet, GPIB and CAN interfaces.

The 63202A-20 introduces three fan control modes, which allow users to choose whether they need noise reduction or fast heat dissipation according to the application environment, and the quiet mode is only 55dB, which is suitable for R&D laboratory environments. The 63202A-20 is also equipped with over-current, over-power, over-temperature protection and over-voltage alarm mechanism, making it a reliable electronic load for product development and testing applications.

 

Application Areas

The 63202A-20 is designed specifically for central processing unit (CPU) VCORE power supply and graphics processing unit (GPU) power supply testing, and can simulate the load characteristics of their power supplies and perform reliable testing of Voltage RegulatorModule (VRM), Voltage Regulator Down (VRD), point-of-load (POL) converters, and embedded DC-DC converters. Low Inductance Front Copper Terminal

63202A-20 load terminal design, from the previous 63200A series of back panel output, changed to the front panel output, the positive and negative terminals are tightly attached to the two increase in the insulation of the plastic trim board to avoid short circuits between the positive and negative ends; and the left and right sides of the positive and negative copper rows are connected to increase the contact area of the two, to achieve the reduction of inductance. Low voltage, high current electronic loads with excellent low voltage characteristics, especially the 63202A-20-2000 model, which has a minimum operating voltage of 0.25V at the load side, and provides up to 2,000A of maximum rated current at this voltage. Special attention should be paid to the fact that if the load side is below 0.25V due to the voltage drop of the wires, it will not be able to provide the current of 2,000A. In addition, even at voltages below 0.25V to 0V, the device is still able to pull load current and demonstrate stable performance, as shown in the V-I curve for low voltage operation.*The

Power supply transient response test is the basic test requirement for power supply, because the output voltage overshoot or downshoot caused by instantaneous load changes will cause abnormal operation of the back-end system or damage to other parts. Therefore, the 63202A-20 provides a programmable dynamic current load (CCD) mode with a current slope of up to 60A/μs, a minimum operating voltage of up to 0.5V at the load side, and a minimum response time of 20μs for the current climb. programmable setup parameters include current high/low alignment, T1/T2, climb/fall rate, and number of times of execution. The number of repetitions over a period of time can also be set in the range of 1-65,535, while one-time pull-load simulation is suitable for applications that test the instantaneous load carrying capability of DC-DC converters.

Low-sensitivity cable (optional)

The new patented design of low inductance cable, compared to refrigerant cable (inductance 310nH / impedance 8.4mΩ), the new low inductance cable (inductance 105nH / impedance 2.5mΩ) effectively reduces the inductance and impedance and improves the dynamic response caused by inductance under the same length of 60 centimeters. This design also reduces the voltage drop caused by impedance, ensuring stable operation of electronic loads in low-voltage applications.

Base load applications

The 63202A-20 has Constant Voltage, Constant Current, Constant Resistance, and Constant Power modes of operation, which can be used to meet a wide range of test requirements. Constant current is particularly important in the testing of voltage source products, and can be used to confirm that the DUT maintains a stable output voltage under different load conditions; Constant resistance mode is often used in slow power-on testing of voltage sources to confirm the voltage phenomenon of the DUT at the moment of power-on; Constant voltage mode adjusts its output voltage to ensure the accuracy of the current at the set output voltage; Constant power mode is ideal for simulating the pulling behavior of electronic devices. The Constant Power mode is ideal for simulating the pull-load behavior of electronic devices and can accurately perform analysis for other power consumption applications.

User-defined waveform function

In addition to the general fixed-current, fixed-voltage, fixed-resistance, and fixed-power pull-load mode, the traditional way is to send the pre-stored waveforms through the computer to the electronic load through the DAQ card or through the arbitrary waveform generator to achieve the purpose of pulling arbitrary waveforms.

User-defined waveforms are provided in the 63202A-20.*To simulate the real pulling current, the actual current waveform data captured by the oscilloscope or self-edited current waveforms can be easily stored into the internal memory of the 63202A-20 through the graphical operation software, which can reach up to 1.5 million waveform points, saving the cost of DAQ card and waveform generator. When the DUT needs to simulate more complex waveforms, select the user-defined waveform function, and simply set up through the 63200A's graphical operation software, you can pull and load any waveforms you need.
