Product Overview: Fluke 2062 Advanced Line Finder Kit
Built to keep you safe
The Fluke 2062 Advanced Wire Finder Kit provides accurate and safe troubleshooting of energized and de-energized wires in residential, commercial and industrial environments up to a CAT IV 600 V rating. This CAT rating is as high a level of protection as a wire finder can provide. This rating protects you from dangerous transient overvoltage levels (up to 8,000 V peak) that can occur in industrial and utility grid environments. This is particularly important in environments such as industrial plants, factories and hospitals where critical equipment cannot be taken offline.
Intelligent detection saves time
The Smart Sensor™, unique to the Fluke 2062, makes wire detection faster and easier. It locates energized wires in walls, floors, and ceilings and displays them on the 3.5-inch high-resolution TFT LCD display. Whether you're a novice or an expert, help screens embedded in the display help make it easy to use. The tip sensor beeps when locating wires, and the smart sensor visualizes and pinpoints the path of energized wires, eliminating guesswork.
Wire detection tailored to your application
Whether it's electrical wiring and equipment troubleshooting for residential and commercial buildings or high-voltage public grid equipment, the Fluke 2062 can find breaks or open and short circuits. It has different modes and functions that provide the flexibility to troubleshoot a wide range of wiring and circuit problems that may be encountered on the job.
Four receiver detection modes
The 2062-R receiver uses two methods to detect signals in wires and cables: passive detection without a transmitter in non-contact voltage detection mode, and active detection with a transmitter in all other modes. The receiver's tip sensor detects wires in corners, tight spaces, and junction boxes.
- "Smart Scan" for detecting energized wires and displaying them on the large color LCD display
- "Tip Sensor" mode for detecting wires with higher accuracy
- "Circuit breaker locator" mode for easy identification of circuit breakers and fuses based on the highest signal detected and recorded by the transmitter
- "NCV Non-Contact Voltage Detection" mode to detect energized wires without using a transmitter
Three transmitter power modes
The 2000-T Transmitter operates on energized and de-energized circuits at up to CAT IV 600 V ratings and has high, low and loop modes. These modes vary the strength of the sensed signal and help provide more accurate results depending on the circuit you are probing.
- "High Signal" mode for normal energized and de-energized circuits
- "Low-signal" mode for precise detection by low signal to minimize coupling to nearby wires and metal objects
- "Loop" mode for closed-loop de-energized circuits
Two transmitter output frequencies
The 2000-T automatically senses if the system is powered on or off and automatically selects an output frequency of 6 kHz or 33 kHz.
Eight receiver sensitivity levels
Higher sensitivity levels mean more flexibility and accuracy when detecting.
Complete Kit
The Fluke 2062 Advanced Wire Finder Kit comes conveniently equipped with all the accessories needed to probe wires and circuits. The accessory kit includes test leads, test probes, flat and round socket adapters, and alligator clips to connect the transmitter to the electrical system. Connecting the transmitter to bare wire with the included alligator clips and test leads will always give the most accurate results. However, where direct connection to bare wire is not possible, a raised 6 kHz signal can be sensed through the insulation in "loop" mode with the supplied i400 signal clamp. The kit also includes a magnetic lanyard, battery and hard carrying case.
