Product Overview: 2680A/2686A Large Scale Data Acquisition System
The Fluke 2680 Series offers network data acquisition, stand-alone data logging, or a combination of both. Choose from two basic chassis models:
2680A Data Acquisition System Chassis
The Fluke 2680A Data Acquisition System is the choice for multi-channel applications requiring reliable Ethernet communications. It features a front-end data acquisition system that communicates and distributes data to any desired location. 10BaseT and 100BaseT communication interfaces make it compatible with old and new network facilities.
2686A Data logging system enclosure
The Fluke 2686A Data Logging System writes data to a memory card for easy retrieval and storage, making it ideal for remote and mobile offices, or for non-computer assisted data logging applications. The system is equipped with a 16 MB ATA memory card that supports ATA flash cards, with up to 1 GB of this being used to provide the required memory capacity. 2686A can be easily configured for stand-alone data logging operations by simply selecting a preset configuration from the memory card. It can also be networked in tandem with the 2680A to provide additional memory card data security.
Extend the system to meet your needs
Expand your system seamlessly with the Fluke 2680A and 2686A, expanding from 20 channels to over 2,000 channels simply by adding modules and chassis. Both models feature 6 slots per chassis, allowing users to populate modules as needed to meet application requirements. Five slots in each chassis can be used for any combination of 20-channel analog input modules. The 6th slot can also be used for digital I/O relay modules to add system control. If the 6th slot is not needed for control, additional analog input modules can be inserted to increase the number of input channels to 120 in a single chassis.
You can also seamlessly link multiple 120-channel systems to provide you with powerful data monitoring capabilities. Utilizing a TCP/IP connection, you can connect it to an existing LAN and share information wherever you need it.
Scalable to thousands of channels, the Fluke 2680 Series has what you need, whether you need speed, throughput, isolation accuracy, or digital I/O and relays. Purchase only the modules you need in your desired portfolio and expand your system as your needs grow.
2680A-FAI: Capturing the Speed of Dynamic Process Change
The Fluke 2680A-FAI (Fast Analog Input) is the perfect choice when you have a temporary need for a large amount of information and still need to maintain a high level of accuracy in your measurements. 2680A-FAI modules provide chassis throughput rates in excess of 3,000 channels per second. Specially manufactured field effect transistors (FETs) allow inputs up to +50 V, well above the 15 V industry-specification channel-to-channel isolation voltage, for greater measurement integrity.
2680A-PAI Provides High Accuracy and Isolation for Demanding Jobs
The Fluke 2680A-PAI (Precision Analog Input) 20-channel, high-accuracy, high-isolation module is designed to handle jobs where accuracy and isolation are critical. Some common applications for this module include semiconductor temperature measurement, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and nuclear power plant performance monitoring. 2680A-PAI modules provide 300 V isolation on two channels and 150 V isolation on 18 channels, as well as 18-bit resolution and excellent thermocouple measurement accuracy, all in a scalable system.
Both the 2680A-FAI and 2680A-PAI modules support a wide range of inputs including DC voltage, AC voltage, RTD, resistance, thermocouple, thermistor, DC current, AC current, and frequency. Other sensors such as load cells, pressure sensors, and displacement sensors can be easily added to the measurement system.
2680A-DIO: Digital I/O and Relay Outputs for Increased Control
For data acquisition systems that also require control functions, the Fluke 2680A-DIO Digital I/O and Relay Output Module provides 20 digital I/Os and eight hard contact 1 Amp Type C relays, making each chassis responsive to a variety of alarm or control situations. This allows each chassis to respond to a variety of alarm or control situations. 2680A-DIO also includes an add/subtract counter with preset start counting, so all counts do not need to start at zero.
2680A-180: Universal Input Module Requires No External Signal Conditioning
Fluke's Universal Input Module is a special connector included with Fluke data acquisition products that provides unrivaled thermocouple accuracy and compatibility as well as a wide diversity of inputs. With signal conditioning built into Fluke data acquisition products, you can easily measure virtually any electrical or physical parameter without changing hardware or adding external signal conditioning. You can connect any combination of DC voltage, AC voltage, thermocouple, current, RTD, resistance (2- or 4-wire), or frequency measurement inputs directly to the Universal Input Module.
Easy Data Configuration with Fluke DAQ Software
Each Fluke 2680A and 2686A comes with the powerful, highly flexible, and easy-to-use Fluke DAQ configuration software.Fluke DAQ allows you to configure the following parameters for the 2680 Series:
