The Chroma 62000H series of programmable DC power supplies offer many unique features for telecom, automated test system integration, industrial, battery charging and simulation, hybrid vehicle and solar panel simulation. These features include a high power density of 15KW in 3U, accurate output current and voltage measurements, output trigger signals, and the ability to simulate complex DC transient waveforms to test equipment for transient breaks, dropouts, and other inter-voltage deviations.
The 62000H series consists of 14 different models ranging from 5KW to 15KW with current ranges up to 375A and voltage ranges up to 1000 V. The 62000H can be easily paralleled with up to 10 instruments and can be used to equalize up to 150KW of current for high power applications, e.g., 450V/150A/67.5KW battery packs for simulation of an electric vehicle.
There are 100 user programmable input states on the front panel for automated test applications and life cycle ON/OF testing. In addition, the 62000H features 16 bit high resolution digital control and a vacuum fluorescent display readout with excellent visibility.
The 62000H series DC power supplies are easy to operate from the front panel pushbuttons or from a remote controller via standard USB, RS232, RS485, APG control interfaces and optional GPIB & Ethernet control interfaces. With its compact 3U size, it can be stacked in a standard rack without any difficulty.
Another unique feature of the 62000H series power supplies is the ability to create complex DC transient waveforms. This feature enables testing of equipment for voltage leakage, transients and other voltage variations, and is ideal for testing aerospace equipment, solar inverters and other equipment that generates voltage interruptions. Applications include DC/DC converters and inverters, voltage drop testing, engine start simulation, automatic battery charging, electronic product life cycle testing, and more.
High Power Density 3U/15KW Programmable DC Power Supplies
The 62000H series power supply offers a high power density of 15KW at 3U height, with low output noise and ripple, excellent mains disturbance regulation, load regulation and fast transient response. With a wide range of voltages from 30V~1000V and currents from 375A~25A, the 62000H series power supplies are suitable for every test and validation from design to product testing and production process.
Master/slave parallel and series operation up to 150KW
When high power is required, it is common to connect two or more power supplies in parallel or in series. 62000H series power supplies have a master/slave control mode that makes series/parallel operation fast and easy. In this mode, the master sets the values and downloads the data to the slaves, so programming is simple and equalization is automatic.
Programming Automatic Program Voltage Change Applications
The LIST and STEP modes of the 62000H series power supply provide automatic programming capabilities. the LIST mode provides 100 user programmable sequences with time settings from 5ms to 15000s and voltage/current ramp control. the STEP mode allows for start and end voltage settings and provides 10ms to 99 hours of run time for automatic test applications.
