AC instruments with high calibration accuracy

The Fluke 792A is a high accuracy AC/DC conversion measurement standard based on thermoelectric exchange technology. It can meet AC voltage traceability requirements. If equipped with A40B precision shunt, it can also realize AC/DC conversion measurement of AC current from 0.1mA ~ 100A. 792A can calibrate AC instruments with good accuracy in the lab. For example, Fluke 5500A series/5700A series calibrators, Fluke 8508A, 1281 and other digital multi-meters and 5790A AC voltage measurement standards.

True RMS conversion technology provides good accuracy

The 792A utilizes Fluke's true RMS conversion technology and thin film resistors to provide AC/DC conversion uncertainty as low as 10 ppm (including 5 ppm traceability to NIST).The 792A measures voltages from 2mV to 1000V and bandwidths ranging from 10Hz to 1MHz.At the heart of the 792A's technology is Fluke's solid-state true RMS converter, the performance of which has been proven over the years in a variety of Fluke products. Compared to conventional thermocouples with 7 to 10 mV output, the 792A has a full-scale output voltage of 2 V. The 792A exhibits good signal-to-noise characteristics in AC-DC conversion and minimal inverse error of up to 10 ppm relative to the input voltage. 2 V output voltage allows you to make measurements with good resolution.

Accurate, fast and easy to use

The core technology of the 792A is a solid-state thermoelectric RMS sensor. Compared to the 7-10mV output of a conventional thermocouple, the 792A has an output voltage of 2V, which means that the 792A exhibits good signal-to-noise characteristics and a reverse error as low as 10ppm with respect to the input voltage. 2V output voltage also allows you to make measurements with resolution, so that you can use a digital multi-meter without the need to use a detector-zero meter to make conversions. The 2V output voltage also enables you to measure with resolution, so you can use a digital multi-meter instead of a zero detector for conversion. This makes measurements not only easier to perform, but also more accurate. Because the true RMS sensor is small, it also has a small thermal capacity. As a result, the 792A stabilizes in less than 30 seconds and can be used over a wide temperature range of 11°C to 35°C. The true RMS sensor is designed to be rugged. True RMS sensors are designed to be rugged and reliable. Each sensor is manufactured in Fluke's microelectronics lab to exacting standards to ensure the quality and consistency of each component.

traceability

Every 792A from Fluke comes with a calibration certificate and a table containing correction factors and uncertainties for AC/DC differences.

To meet the traceability requirements of a precision device such as the 792A, Fluke has developed a proprietary system for assigning national laboratory values directly to the 792A. The system is based on certified technology and can be used to maintain uncertainty to within a few ppm. Continuous comparisons can also be made to the same 792A, and the resulting data can be statistically processed and used to reduce the conversion uncertainty. For better performance, the conversion uncertainty of the 792A can be directly assigned by a national standards body.
