short circuit function

With the short-circuit function, the Max current value is set in the constant current (CC) mode and the Min resistance value is set in the constant resistance (CR) mode, and the relay (DC 30V/1A) contact of the EXT CONT connector is closed. The load input terminal can be short-circuited by driving an external high-current relay or the like.

switching function

Switching operation up to Max100kHz is possible in constant current mode and constant resistance mode. Setting parameters such as level, frequency, and duty cycle can be changed even during loading.

Triggering with TALink (Transient Acquire Link) allows you to record data on the PLZ-5W in synchronization with the steps of the timing sequence. The recorded data can be obtained by communicating with the PLZ-5W.

Fuse Blowing Test Example

In the fuse blowing test, high speed current control is required for constant current operation of the DC power supply. It is difficult to realize high-speed current control by DC power supply alone, but high-speed current control can be realized by combining with electronic load device PLZ-5W series.
Fuse blowing test requires JASO D612 standard. Various tests required by the standard can be performed (voltage drop test, transient current blocking test, fuse time test, step energization test, blocking capacity test).

Battery Evaluation Test Example

High-speed operation is not possible with only a high-power switching power supply PAT-T series, but by connecting an electronic load device PLZ-5W series in series and parallel, it is possible to form a unipolar power supply with high-speed response. As a result, it is possible to synchronize the battery's patterned charging and discharging currents and to flow the current during high-speed operation. If the PLZ-5WZ is further used in battery evaluation tests, the impedance of the battery can be measured seamlessly during the evaluation process.

By combining with a DC power supply to form a high-precision constant-current power supply, it can also support evaluation of current sensors and the like. In addition, a 3-stage range setting is available, and the current setting resolution can be selected according to the current value to be set.
